i never really thought about that...but i dont think the ss would get hot enough to melt the bumper.

and once again, i think that the cf heat shield on silver wont look good...unless someone can provide me with a good picture of one and a link of where i can get a good condition one for cheap. lol

i found a ss one that someone is selling for $20

I was running catless for 3 months using SS. When I took SS off, both bumper and SS still look good as new.

I'm in the same boat as you dude. Looking to put a turboback on my car this summer but cannot stand how the CF heat shield looks on a white Evo. How easy is SS to install?

i bought someones so i'll keep you updated. i'll post pictures. the ss heat shield is bendable and you use self taping screws to install it

i think cf would look good on white IF you have a bunch of other cf accents.

If you dont have a Greddy Ti, then you dont need a heat shield.......but if you have a Greddy Ti, then you had better have some way of protecting your bumper..or melted charred is what you'll get..

I agree in theory, but I just don't dig it in every picture I've seen. SS seems more simple/badass, IMO.

Yeah, I won't buy a shield until I have one. I noticed you are running a Ti with Helix downpipe and test pipe. Do you know if it would work with a high flow cat instead of the test pipe? Also, is yours rolled tip or straight? Pictures of setup?

i've had my greddy ti on for about 2 weeks now and my bumper isnt getting too messed up. i have a SS heat shield coming in next week. i'll post pictures when it comes in.

street tuners, your greddy ti sits really high. i got mine to drop down a little bit by adjusting the band around the canister

My SS shield sits so when standing straight above it, you can't see it at all. The yellowing of the white bumper is now completely gone. Its great imo.
