DD or another car
I was using another car for a DD and evo for fun, but then I realized i'm paying money every month for a car to sit in my garage, so Im selling the old DD and the Evo is going back to my DD. Yeah the gf complains but I love my evo.
Yeah i was thinking about getting a DD because the evo's maintenance is high, just hit 17k and i need new tires as well as brakes tires-1000 new brakes rotors and pads 500ish but i don't know if i could live without driving it
I generally drive the EVO, but I also have a '92 Miata that I drive about 20% of the time. I would consider the EVO a daily driver although it sometimes takes a break
. At any rate, I've put 35K miles on the odometer of the EVO and probably 8K miles in the Miata in about the same time.

yeah i was looking into a 1982 datsun..... 280zx but then again its old and turbo'd and i only have about 500-600 bucks to spend on another car cause the insurance on both...
I get a company car to use as a daily driver, so the Evo is strictly a weekend toy.
Nice, because not only does it keep the mileage down, and the car in much better shape than if it were used on a daily basis, but all the other associated costs are down as well, from insurance, to gas, to routine maintenance.

well, i dont own an evo but im in the same boat with my Lightning. i pay a lot of money every month to only drive it about 50-100 miles a month. its great to keep the mileage down and value up, but i dont get to truly enjoy it. currently i have an 89 mustang 5.0 as my dd, but it sucks in the snow and its old. ive currently thinking about selling both and picking up an evo and using that as my only form of transportation. although i drive about 35k miles a year and thats a lot of miles to put on anything.
My Evo is purely my weekend / holiday toy.
I'm fortunate enough that I use public transport to commute to and from work each day. I could drive into the city, but paying $30 a day for parking, plus gas, plus all the other head-aches...it's way cheaper and less stressful to ride the train.
In all honesty, if I did have to drive to work everyday, I'd probably have an old beater for the rush hour commute anyways and still keep the Evo for fun times only.
