intake question

I just picked up a helix blue intake filter and hardpipe I was wondering if I was to just run the hardpipe with the stock airbox would I still hear the suction noise pre boost and stock bov post boost? Due to cops around here I'd like to keep it stock looking....and I'm guessing performance wise it should be about the same. Yeah I'm a ricer I like the sound.

well, i dont understand why you would say keep it stock looking. an intake is under the hood so how would the cop see it? so i dont understand why you say that.and no you wont get the sound without an open element filter, which have been proven for more power over the stock air box.

That is correct you would need an open filter, Or you can remove your stock airbox lid and just use zip ties around the clips to the hold the filter down, then you will get some sound outta it.

Number 2 you will need a tune after you install the hardpipe.

well this runs you into the question of whether you're sucking up hot air or not. And i do recall that all the car vishnu used for RRamerica .. or whatever it was called used a stock box. But i agree that if you just need a pipe... not really sure what the point is.. especially with no tune.

not that i've heard about from ebay, but i've heard some of the guys on here selling intakes talking about it. search around, it should pop up here or there. I say throw on something a littel bigger and then get the reflash then, and save the $ now. Like cams.. something that kinda requires a reflash.. well i suppose injectors are reason enough haha. Goodluck with it all man.

Just a quick observation, but why would you waste your money on a wastegate and injectors? From your sig it looks like you are on the stock turbo.
