i don't know...besides power, these are two totally different cars. that vette is sweet though!! nice color!! heh. good luck on deciding heh.

 

I voted Evo, but only because I don't like vettes.

On some boards that would get me chastised lol To me, their look is rather dull, with their back end being the biggest culprit. Sure they're fast, and yes they have a ton of history and a huge following, but for me there's no attraction.

The Evo isn't the end all, be all of cars in my book, but between the two I'd definitely take the AWD Evo.

 

dude... EVO. you have AWD and a way nicer car. and thats 3,300 you can drop into the evo. once you own a vette you could say hi to all your little vette buddies, except for they will all be 80 year old ****** with way to much money and no knowledge of cars.

 

Between those two cars, I'd probably be inclined to go for the Vette as well. If you had an '05 or newer Evo, I wouldn't do it (unless it were a C6 Z06, then maybe LOL). But yeah, if the Z06 you're trading for is clean & runs great, then I say "Do it!"...

Another deciding factor is that i got beat by my buddies 350Z, my brothers girlfiends SRT-4, and everyone that has an LS-1 that i know also destroy me....time to move up in the food chain.....

I am partial to the Evo, I have never been a fan of American cars as far as long term goes.

 

I traded in my C5 Vette and got my IX MR. I love my Evo, but I miss the Vette. It was a great car. The only reason I got rid of it was because I needed back seats for kids. I am still hoping to get another Vette in future.

I never liked Corvette, but when I first drove it, I fell in love with it. Considering the size, it handles very well, and the power is alright, too. And C6 Vette.. If I had no kids, that's what I would buy..

Have fun with your Vette! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. And every time you see other Vettes, C1 through C6, they wave at you! ANd from little kids(I mean 5 year old) to senior citizen would compliment your car on the road, at gas station, parking lot, wherever you go.

 

I would trade, but ask for something a less like $2k difference

I just bought an 05 evo.The only other car I considered prior to buying the evo was a c-5 vette.If you are smart youll know these 2 are the best 2 availible cars with awesome"out of the box" performance today.Id go for the vette but not that particular one. Z06,cams,LTs,....great.Id rather get a c-5 and mod it to be just as fast as a Z for less while retaining that sleeper c-5 look.Your friends asking price isnt that great either to be honest.Ive seen better deals.Do some research here for your evo goals and do some research on corvetteforum.com to see the c5(z06 or non) potential.Either way its a win/win situation.A bada$$ import or a bada$$ domestic monster.You wont be disapointed with the z06.Trust me my dad has a modded c-5 and its another world.

Why did I buy the evo then you ask? Well my situation was different than yours.I couldnt get a long enough financing term on pre 2003 cars so I had to aim for 03+ vettes.This made a Z06 out of reach and left me the option of spending 26k plus on a standard c-5 with medium miles.No thanks Ill wait until im more financially stable.So I spent 22k on an 05 evo to reach sub 13's in the 1/4.Ill keep the evo for a few years maybe 2-3 then guess what? Ill be buying an 04 z06. Like I said corvetteforum.com is a great community.Different environment than here.Youll love it.For those that bash vettes all I have to say is step outside of the box.Learn about other vehicles before you stand biased because "you" drive an EVO.Nevertheless...to each his own.2 awesome cars good luck
