Its not an opinion that the VTA bov is not good for the car. Its a known fact. Have you tried just unplugging the negative battery cable and plugging it back in to see if the light comes back?

I know ppl making well over 600 awhp and they vent to atmosphere. and they dont have a problem..

Are they also using a standalone with speedensity? Like I said , why keep something that may cause you problems in the future and be a ricer when you can stick with the stock tried and true recirculated bov?

VTA is ok if your car is TUNED for it. The problem with VTA is when the air is vented the engine is expecting the air to be there the next time you step on the gas, so the next time you step on the gas it's VERY rich. So if you're going to have a BOV make sure you get it tuned. I bought my evo with a TurboXS BOV and i'm taking it off. Way too loud for me. Every time I go by a cop it turns their heads. Not what i need in a red evo. Sure it's cool... i guess... but if you're going to do it do it right.
