Performance Chips
Has any one tried these performance chips that claim to add 12-25 horsepower or more? they seem far to cheap and easy to just stick it in and be up 25 horses. whats the deal are they fake? for those of you who dont know what im talking about heres an example.

I have a friend who bought that Performance Chip
but didnt notice any gains or watsoever. He Test drive his car and i test drive it 2...the verdict: it just made the engine sound nice hahaha. personally to me its a rip off
so just save ur 35 bucks and buy sum accessories for you car. hope this helps

what it does is "fool" your ECU to think that the IAT sensor is reading cold air therefore the ECU trows some more fuel and voila your engine A/F go down a little.
My suggestion buy the manual chekc the resistance leven of the IAT sensor and buy a resistance that goes to the lower value (the one it registers in cold start) but either way don't mess up with resistors

if its what i think it is this guy my friend knows bought one and all youre buying is a transistor that leaves your engine in mivec so its dumping fuel slowly burning out your MAF and engine
and to anyone who wants a resistor to put in their car i have boxes of them at work, they cost practically nothing. if it wasnt for the fact this is what ppl do with them id give them to forum ppl for the cost of a stamp.
