Boost Question
I have the same problem the car is only boosting to 14.5 psi and then it falls to about 13 and i thought stock evos boost 19 stock. My mods are injen UIP and intake full 3 inch ams exhaust greddy rs BOV i ran a boost leak test and got nothing. I am going to do another one...But you guys got any ideas of what i should check other then the BOV.
Did you buy your car used or have you had it since new? If you purchased the car used, then there is a possibilty that the previous owner altered the factory vacuum hose-boost control solenoid assembly.
Do you have a boost controller installed? The first thing I would do is replace your aftermarket BOV with the factory DV, just to see if that has any impact on the problem.
Of course for an VIII to be delivered with 14-15# from the factory isn't really that unusual. Mine had 15# as delivered. The first thing I did was install a boost controller and turn up the boost.

Ok cool nice yea i got the car used. I have been looking everywhere for boost leaks and weirdly, there was one from the throttle body with the injen upper intercooler pipe. Then I did replace the the Greddy rs with the stock one i had laying around from an eclipse gst. I have a boost controller that i could put on but I havn't until i make sure there is nothing wrong. I started a thread on the advanced motor turbo forum about my compression being at 90 psi with a cold start, so I was hoping that had nothing to do with it. I am going to do another compression test tommaro and another boost leak test.
