Hello

Hi,
To introduce myself......

I live in the UK and just bought a 1995 Evo 3 GSR 3 weeks ago as a project & to have some fun. It was imported just under 2yrs ago, more or less stock (aftermarket s/s exhaust only), fair-ish condition, 90,000miles. Cost me more than I could afford, so I'm having to wait before I do much to it...I've just been cleaning, waxing etc for now. Next is oil & filter change, replacement air filter (orig box type), iridium plugs....no service history, so better do it all asap.

Anyway, that's it. I just hope it don't blow up.

thanx...
i want to keep it fairly standard, but plan on fitting some guages - i like to know what's going on, maybe oil pressure & temp, voltage.
And also - possibly- an induction kit. and some respraying of the wing & front/rear spoilers.

The front seats (Recaros) need replacing. Maybe with Sparco ones as i can't really afford recaros.

The OZ orig alloys are a little bit scruffy. A couple of scrapes, and the white paint looks like it may have been burnt in places....like grinding wheel spark burns....off the brakes i guess. I'm not too sure what to do with those at present.

The main thing, while I'm still broke, is to tidy it up a bit. I found the oil pressure sender had the wire broken off, and there's a couple of other wires under the bonnet that are unplugged. I can;'t identify them at the moment. The alarm has been sorted out.

hi krish,
i enjoyed looking at ur evo 1. It had me fooled for a while - looks so similar to a 3. I usually check the wing to see if it's a 3, but of course, if it's a 1 with a 3 wing.......

& as everyone commented, lovely condition.

a better pic. (with the front spoiler lip temp removed)

been off the road for 2 days....seizing front (LHS) brake caliper. warped the disc also, and wheel bearing needed replacing. maybe related. In all: a pair of discs, pair of pads, 1 brake caliper & 1 wheel bearing. I didn't think they would be able to get the parts so easy, but the local (village) repair shop got it all done in 2 days. I was hoping to get upgrades for all those parts in the future, but I'm still totally broke from getting the car. Anyway it's worth it......gotta be the best cars ever. I'm smiling again. ......until I pick up the bill on Tuesday!
