Wingless: how does it feel?
I recently had the car at Mid Ohio, a 14 turn 2.25 mile hilly a$$ road course in central Ohio. The back "straight" has a big kink that you go through at well over 100 mph. The car is not loose at all. It sticks like glue.
If someone claims to feel a difference they are either paranoid or the greatest driver of all time. I will put my money on the former.

Pros: You can see much better out of your rear window.
The cops seem to pay less attention to my car.
Less drag.
Cons: NO REAR DOWNFORCE!!! I can definitely feel the difference cruising on the freeway at 70-90mph. But when I took it to 120 it feels horrible compared to with the wing on. My heart actually starts to speed up because of the rear end of the car being so unstable. With the wing on, 160 felt so safe it seemed like I was going 60 in a normal car. If you take the wing off (or you have an RS and didn't put a wing on) the car does not have the ability to be stable during high speed cornering, as any Evo should.

Do ya'll realize the VG without the wing is pretty much only a cosmetic thing at that point? By design, the VG channels air directly to the wing of the spoiler for added rear downforce. Not bashing here. If you like the wingless look, that's cool.

does it still drive any different?

ok, so I've decided to go for a low wing approach. Over here in europe mitsu offers two different styles of wing, especially for UK and german cars. Got one off a UK EVO on ebay...
