started modding but going to relax for now

Well, I just put the intake and DVD player in today. I have the exhaust sitting here but I need to buy a Hi flo cat. Got some gauges. And I plan on getting the rear windows tinted.

I think for now I will leave it at that just to maintain most the warranty. I know the exhaust is now voided lol. But I use it as a daily driver so I don't want to over do it... or do I

an exhaust on your DD won't 'over do it' on your car IMO. My Evo is a DD and I have cams, cam gears, exhaust, custom tune...blah blah...works great! Go For It!

oh no, I was just saying I would prefer that if something goes wrong since I still have about 3 years and 50K on the warranty that I would not have any issues getting it covered. The DP, CB, and TP are sitting here, but I rather run a HFC.

The intake is a bigger issue than any exhaust parts. It does nothing for you without a tune except make a lot of noise and throw off the MAF readings.

Even if you want to use an HFC now, why not install the exhaust? When you get the HFC, it's a direct replacement for the TP as long as it's flanged on both ends. You just unbolt the TP, put in the HFC, and you're done. Up to you, but between an intake and exhaust, I'd put the exhaust on 100 times before putting on the intake. The exhaust gives 30whp and doesn't require a retune while the intake only hurts the car without a tune.

it's voided now anyway, especially because you just posted on EvoM, so I'd go ahead and enjoy it because any modification to the car will put undue stress on a random component whose failure will be attributed to you. . .

How come you would put a intake on your car and not get a tune?

alright that is a bit better. Pretty much I have the stuff on there and am contemplating a tune. On my ram, I dealt with superchips (hand programmer, just hooked up under the dash, downloaded stock, uploaded the new program, and the unit itself held two programs....any updates were just downloaded off their site).

Now I was hoping to see something like that in the future otherwise I was just considering a labtop and cable to tune from one of the tuners. I don't want to mail my ecu out. I like having the ability to upload/download as needed.

And as well, just moving along bit by bit...pending finances of course. I know Turbotrix is right by me about 20 miles away.
