Gum on carpet and how to clean IX seats?

Hey guys, I was wondering what you all use to clean gum off the OEM floormats? Also, my friend spilled some juice on the seat and there is a small stain... what's the best way to get that out? Thanks!

I dont know... but if the lady needs to perform an emergency tension relief procedure on you while you are driving, next time tell her to put the gum into the ash-tray and not just spit it out on the floor... which brings me to the next question: are you sure thats a juice stain on your seat?

j/k

^haha I was thinking the same thing. For the floormats try steam cleaning...as for the stain, I would ask a local detailer

Umm, if you have a big freezer, you can try freezing the floormat and then chip away at the frozen gum

I would have the seats cleaned professionally. Call a local carpet/upholstery cleaner.

HAHA, you EvoM guys are too clever! lol jk. I will try the ice method on the gum, but the stain...would I be able to use regular fabric cleaner? The material is alcantara right? I'm guessing suede cleaner wouldn't remove it?

I usually clean my car carpets with a steam cleaner from Pathmark, works very well. Makes the carpet look brand new again. As for the gum, guess you can try the ice method. GL!

don't spit gum on the floor for your dog to roll on it! dog smells like peppermint and skippy....might cause some sort of complex. Steam cleaning should work as long as the gum hasn't dug deep into the fibers. The other stain should be done professionally.

There's this vacuum cleaner company called kirby and they sell a chemical that is really good at removing gum. You pour it on the gum and it turns it into a powder, then you just vacuum it up. Just do a search on google for kirby vacuums or something to that effect.
