Overboost SES

My car is throwing the Overboost code. I think it is P0234. I am not using a MBC, just using the ECU via ECUFlash to control the boost. I have a tune. I am thinking that if I get a MBC and unplug the battery to reset the codes then I should be good? Any thoughts?

Having a tune doesn't avoid fuel cut unless that parameter was changed or removed. You can reset the code easily, but you're going to keep hitting fuel cut until you remove fuel cut from the ECU. Getting an MBC won't do anything unless you lower the boost.

Just to be sure, isn't this code only coming on after you hit fuel cut twice? I figured you'd be worried more about hitting brick walls (fuel cut) than a simple code.

It is kind of weird. Before my tune I hit the brick wall, but is hasn't happened since, which makes this code seem strange.

And yes I would be more worried about hitting fuel cut, but it hasn't happened. It did happen prior to the tune and scared the shi$$ out of me. I am positive it hasn't happened again. If it has it definitely hasn't been as severe.
