Boost Control Solenoid broken...

One of the nipples on my boost control solenoid (capped off becuse of MBC) broke off this week and it's causing some crazy stuff. At first it was causing fuel cut, and then threw the overboost code- P0234- I think the code was.

Anyways, I have taped it off but it doesn't seem to be fixing the issue. I will likely need a new one.

Anyone know the cost on these? Anyone have a spare? lol

If you caped it off it is not getting any Boost to it, i think you have another issue going on there. you took it out of the loop.

if you really want to make sure its not reading anything, why not just caulk the hold or superglue it or something. I think you have a different issue though, but this may help.

Well both barbs were capped off, but one broke this week so it isn't exaclty capped anymore.

I sure hope it isn't another issue... Any ideas? All other vac lines are ok, and the mbc is set.

The only thing I can think is it may have something to do with the SAFC settings and the weather getting about 20 degrees colder.

I found a 2G DSM solenoid on ebay. Wonder if that would work?

you boost solenoid does not have a pressure sensor in it, it's just a solenoid that toggles open/closed based on another sensor. If you broke a nipple off of it, that would not cause any of your driveablility problems. this is the solenoid under the factory airbox?

yes... I just sealed it with some marine grade sealant. While I was at it I also noticed all of the caps I used to cap the vac lines were deteriorating. This could be the cause of the boost issues. Vac leaks suck...

The fuel cut most likely has to do with the weather getting colder and my SAFC settings. Anyone agree?
