Wheel Lugnut Torque

Whats suppose to be the stock Torque to tighten up our BBS SE wheels? I took mines off and back on today and put it at 80lb of torque to tighten it. I didnt want to go any lower. Thanks.

Your manual should say but 90 lbs/ft is usually a good torque.

Uhm should be towards the back. Mine is buried somewhere so I can't run and look it up. IIRC there should be a spec sheet towards the back of the book that gives you all the fluid quantities and other stuff. Should be in there.

really tight how does that sound. For real though my roomate tyler is a mechanic and he tightens mine too 100 ft/lbs. Be very carefull with the lock nut because it is very easy to strip all the othere ones are real strong though

73 +/- 7 lbs/ft per the Evolution CD Manual. So 80 is fine if that's where you have it.

do not put the lock nut on with an impact gun...

Thanks a lot guys. I currently have em all set at 80. I guess I'll leave em there for now. So the torque weight depends on the Bolt or the Lugnut? or both? Would it be the same with new rims and bolts?

I was thinking of buying my own air compressor soon and hopefully be able to get one of those guns. It surely does cut down time. Do they sell those torque wrenches at any local shops or do we need to be a mechanic of some sort?
Thanks again guys for your help.
