Need Some Info on Twin Disc

Im planning on getting a Exedy Twin Disc for my Evo IX MR. I heard from some people and I'm not sure if its true, but does the twin disc require a built trans?

Will it mess up the transmission or ruin the transfer case if you Daily drive or race from a roll on a twin disc? Launching can obviously mess up the transmission I know that.

Most people that use a twin disk don't have built trannies.

I have a stock tranny, and have used "twins" for over 70K miles.

You dont need a built trans for a exedy twin, it works perfectly fine with my stock tranny.

Wait a minute...I know I answered this question from you earlier today, but I don't see my post. I doubt it was deleted, because I didn't insult you, although I did insult the random "they" who told you this garbage.

Also, from what I recall, you didn't write the question the same way. Did you make this thread more than once, and the other one was deleted? I'm thinking you did, because you have 4 threads saying the same thing (tranny noises).

and they also make the rattle noise that you have from your oem throwout bearing and they make a lot of noise nothing compared to the stock clutch or a any other single disc clutch

The rattle noise is from the twin plates and is only with the clutch depressed. Not the same as the throwout bearing, which would rattle with the clutch out.

I had the Exedy Standard Twin Disc Ceramatellic installed at Buschur Racing in April and i LOVE it! I have not missed a shift engagement is great! And no high rpm lockout like i had on the stock clutch. I have the stock transmission.. the clutch pedal is a little heavy but you get use to it.

p.s. I hear very little noise coming from this clutch i think that comes from a professional install. Thanks to the Dan the Man at Buschur's
