hey guys, can anyone help me.
I'm getting this code, i have a perrin o2 simulator in and still getting it. I've been told its because i'm getting unmetered air in somewhere but i know i'm holding boost fine. i do have a filter on the cam cover though, could it be that......it's frustrating me...please help???

How's your idle like?

 

P0171 - System too lean bank 1. I'm not sure what the cause would be though.

 

idle is fine, and system to lean is what the scan tool said, just trying to figure out what could be causing it

try replacing your front o2 sensor

 

ive had the same code,dealer replaced the o2 sensor under emissions warranty, reset the ecu... 50 miles later its back on again, idles a tad bit high btu other than that no other symptoms.. What else could this possibly be

 

i'm baffled. Is there a way to check if the o2 sensor is bad?

I had the same code before and went away by it self but i did zip tie all the vaccuum lines

 

i guess i'll have to re-check all the vacuum lines

 

Yeah, check all your vac lines carefully. Or ANYWHERE there could be an intake leak. grab a can of carb cleaner and at ilde, spray the lower part of theinjectors where the rest on the intake manifold. if the idle changes at all when doing this, single out which injector it is, and replace the seals. I'd say replaced all the seals if one is leaking.
