Hello Everyone/ New evo owner with problems

Hey people, just wanted to say hi. I picked up my 03 Evo about 6 weeks ago and love it so far. I have a few bolt ons and it feels good to drive. Bad thing is that I think there is something wrong with either my tranny or diff cause it whines like a ***** going down the road in all gears and gets louder the faster I go. I have to take it in tommorow to get looked at so hopefully they can get it fixed pretty quick. I am sure plenty of you have had this happen so any info would be great. Thanks!

That's gonna be up to your Mitsu District Rep. Good luck, I would start shopping for stock a exhaust to be safe.

It is very important that you take ALL of your bolt on mods off and return the car to perfect stock condition prior to taking to a Mitsubishi dealer. Does the sound mimic a roullete wheel?

I got my VIII 4 months ago and it has spent at least 4 to 5 weeks of that off and on at the shop- the last trip was a blown head gasket and warped head, a heafty bill. I hope the previous owner of your car took better care of it than the previous owner of mine did- good luck and get in good with the service manager, it will pay off!

Well looks liked I am ****ed. I bought the car with the mods already done to it about 5 weeks or so ago. Guy the other day said it was still under mitsubishi drivetrain warranty which was okay but i also bought an extended warranty too. He said today that mitsu will not cover it and if they don't then extended won't either. I looked through the extended and is says nothing about aftermarket parts and the ******* that sold it to me said it would be a good idea to get since everythign is so expensive to fix on this car. Now the car is THE SAME way as it was when he sold me this warrenty and said it was covered. By the way, they are telling me that is needs tranny and transfer case. Looks like its gonna be a fun fight with the dealer.

How much does a Transfer Case cost, getting one built to with hold over a thousand hp to the wheels. or just plain getting it built for that.
