Creative Evo Ideas.

Hello everyone,
I just purchased a new IX MR in silver, but then found myself heading overseas on business for the next 5 months. I have really enjoyed this forum, it has given me a ton of great ideas. Fortunately I have all the time in the world it seems to gather all the required parts for my ride back home. Heres what I have in mind for starters.

Clarion MAX675VD DVD Receiver
w/ fiberglass box (someone on the forum is selling them)
and a JL audio 10w6 (undecided on an amp yet)

QTP downpipe w/ electric cutout, routed through a second exhaust w/o cat to either outside (if I can get a dual exhaust rear end) or possible a turndown.

Turbo Timer, Im just going to make my own, its simple enough. I tend to stick cars in 1st and ebrake to park, so Im going to have to install a gear sensing switch of some sort under the shift boot, unless there is an easier way.

Definately going to get the bock O-ringed and a stroker kit, along with a huge garret turbo, I was even debating a 2x turbo setup much like the supras.

I am going to fabricate an overhead panel shell with camlocks holding the faceplate in for ease of installation / trouleshooting of several switches to shutoff secondary fuel injectors, and a quick disable boost switch, as well as the QTP cutout switch, and probably a radio interupt switch. I havent decided on a boost controller yet, but I am looking at the HKS or greddy. I will take them apart and hardwire the lcd display into the overhead panel. I want a real clean install on everything. Ill be sure to do write up's and take pictures of everything, I am an electrical engineer, and I could probably help anyone out with circuit design and troubleshooting, just ask.

Oh, and an emergency engine kill, and batt interupt.

I want a roll cage, but Im concerned about it interfering with the interior. Does anyone know where I can see pictures of rollcages, and harness bars installed into our cars? I keep finding WRX's on manufacturers websites!!

What are some other ideas for the evo? My goal is to make the interior have the appearance of a fighter jet, and the engine have the power to back it up.

Thanks for a great community.

--Also I was thinking about an ECU replacement, because I dont want to have to do several ECU reflashes. But I hear that they require several turns to start.

Oh no, I have access to the internet, Im just in europe and bored. So Im putting together a list of all the things I want to do when I get back home. I would have waited and got the car when I got back to florida but I had such a great deal on a new MR and I was worried about finding another one. I wanted it new and Im not too fond of the X.

Im buying parts online, reading the wiring diagram and drafting the custom electrical system.

Definately not leaving the community!

I suggest these mods:
fuel pump
turbo back exhaust
manual boost controller
boost gauge
air filter

and when you're done, let me tune it to extract the power, the stock tune is horrible. I have a link in my sig that explains the process and software/hardware required. I recently added a video tutorial to make it even easier.

for going on here 5 month u really didnt learn much. turbo timers are a waste, electrics cutouts malfuntion alot, and a twin turbo set up is just rediculous.

This was mentioned in another part of the forum, but running a second exhaust system off of the QTP electric cutout portion of the down pipe would be unbelievably pointless. I would do a lot of reading before contemplating the mods you want to do. See if they are even possible... Just my .02
