I have the BR tbe, test pipe and bullet muffer, most would consider it loud but I can handle it. I have a couple videos in my sig

 

I just installed my buschur tbe. I went with the hfc and magnaflow. It is very quiet!

 

I got the MILLTEK system 3" TBE with a high flow cat..louder than stock..but not to bad and the exhaust note sounds really good. It is 50 state legal for emmissions and was worth 30whp(before tune). Lifetime warranty..BUT ...VERY EXPENSIVE.!!! But I never have to play with it again..so to me its worth it!!

 

Getting just a DP will free a bit of back pressure up near the turbo, but remember the exhaust still has to restrict down to the factory catback size. The gains will be negligible and so will the amount of back pressure you relieved . Don't half-*** it, get a full exhaust. If your worried about noise, don't get smaller piping, just add resonators and a muffler. The biggest restrictions are the factory cat and muffler, not to mention the stock exhaust is very heavy and small. Have you ever seen one? If your worried about noise, you really shouldn't have gotten an Evo.

 

You can do what I did HKS 2.75" down pipe and Buschur muffler delete sounds/looks stock and the tip matches perfect to the one coming off the OEM muffler.

 

Greddy evo 2 my friend. Flows great and frees up a lot of hp, but is still quite quiet.
