Intercooler Colors

I realise that this will cause some adverse effects, but I would like to know how much? What percentage of the intercooler could I theoretically paint before it becomes a serious issue. I just want some grey shark teeth in the grill. (high temp engine paint, or perhaps grill paint?)

Thanks

also, any idea if I should avoid heat absorbing colors and so on??

shark teeth?thats new.
paint eye lids on top of headlight too =D
I noticed intercooler is not that hot after driving around(normal little boost)
but to make sure use high temp paint. I still have paint on my manifold heatshield.
used some high temp paint from advanced auto

I've always wondered if you could get the I/C thermal-coated to actually increase it's effectiveness. I'm pretty sure that's about the color of a shark. (I always thought shark teeth were white)

You want to get the paint that dissapates heat, not the ones that help keep it in. It is some kind of radiator paint. Works well, but you have to touch it up.

The aluminum actually is a very eficient thermal conductor.

I think they actually dip radiators in some kind of asphault.<------- I think

Not the same as hot mix..............
