+1 on this.

I experienced this on my VW. One 1.8t could run a VTA valve just fine, but others would stall and act just plain stupid. My VW was one of the stupid ones. Even taking a valve that worked fine on my friends 1.8t and installing it on mine caused issues. Turbo cars are just temperamental.

you probably don't "need" and aftermarket BOV/DV yet. But, I like the car to scare people on the sidewalk when I drive by so I'm right there with you.

I recently tuned an IX with an aftermarket intake filter and pipe and it was LOUD. It is much louder than the VTA I had on my VW even at partial throttle. The sound isn't like a HKS SS, but it's still mean sounding.
