Meth or Cams

Here's my dilema guys. Do I go with a SNOW meth kit or the GSC S1s with a race gas tune?

No matter which one I go with, I will be getting two tunes...One for DD and the other for high boost just for the track

So I'm just trying to figure out which would yield more power and be more "liveable" for the future

My goal is to get into the 11s and so far I have a TBE/MBC/Drop In/Walbro/O2 which are all pending install.

i think u should go with the S1s(if u can find them) and the snow kit....u should be in the 11s easily

So you're saying forget the race gas?

Why though? I mean what's the difference from running meth and race gas? Don't they have the same effect?

cuz snow kit sucks, pump failures. id just rely more on SMC
there pump doesnt flow as much as the smc kit

OH MY GOD. Do the s1 cams 1st, and if thats not enough - do the aqumist HFS-1 kit. you will see in time Im right on this!

i like running 100% meth over race gas because it lowers intake temps and also raises octane,allowing more boost and timing

So GSC S1s and the SMC kit...Where could I get a great deal on the SMC kit does anyone know?

Hey guys, remember he's got a IX. The IX cams are pretty good by themselves.

Meth will yield much more power than the GSC's on a IX. A friend recently put them on his car and only got about 10whp 330whp to 340whp, and you could feel it up top. However when we put an intake on his car shortly afterwards it seemed to set all of his mods free to make more power because it went from 340whp to 370whp after that so I figure it was a combination of increased airflow, cams, and more tuning.

His total mods are O2 housing, LICP, BR intake, GSC cams, MBC, 3" dp and tp connected to HKS Ti catback.

I'd say go for the cams too. With the cams, you'll always have the power. With the Meth, you have to worry about it being run out. And if you ever go with the Meth, please go with the Aquamist unit. It's 100x better than anything else!!

Also, from the limited research I've done the SMC is very basic compared to some of the other kits available but it has a much easier install. I would get the Aquamist HFS5 myself. Although I havent fully researched because I'm not sure I'm going that route.
