Two Options - Advice Needed

Well I have mapped out two different options/routes that I would like to take my Evo IX MR in, but I'm not sure which option is the best choice. First off, my goal for the car is to get it in the mid to upper 10's with the whp in the area of 450-500.

Option 1:
Buschur Racing GT35R Turbo Kit
Buschur Racing Power Package
BR 3" TBE, HKS Cams, BR MBC, BR Air Filter, Walbro Fuel Pump, Timing Belt/Tensioner, Autometer Boost Gauge
Buschur Racing FMIC (Race Core) w/ Lower IC Piping
HKS SSQV BOV
Tune

Option 2:
AMS GT3076R Turbo Kit
HKS Hi Power Catback
HKS Cams
Perrin MBC
Fuel Pump
FMIC
HKS SSQV BOV
Tune

My questions are, which option is going to produce better numbers both on the dyno and more importantly on the track? Any changes or additional mods that need to be added to either? Will engine internals need to be changed (aside from head studs)?

All help, info, and advice will greatly be appreciated.

bigger turbo will make more power and be faster....

the ssqv isnty a good choice unless you run with an AEM.

if you just want 10s go for the BR 3065. basically in between the two you mentioned.

will run 10s and will reach your goal in whp.

Thanks for the response. Which BOV would be better suited, or is the ssqv just not well suited for that setup? The BR3065 from what I understand will spool a little quicker but hold boost for a little less time than the GT35R, correct? So the AMS would be bigger than all 3 and the GT35R would be the smallest? I mean I wouldn't mind having the power there to run lower than mids 10's, but I dont see myself pushing past that, if the GT35R is capable of better #'s and is at the same price, then would it not make sense to go with that turbo or no? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to do things right the first time around haha.

Yea, I narrowed it down to Tial, HKS, and Forge. Just thought that HKS woulda been a nice choice. I've heard good things about all three though.

I wouldnt get a 35R. I would stick with the 3076 personally but I hate lag. Both BR and AMS are good companies. I would stick with a package deal from either company and not mix and match parts such as the HKS exhaust and bov and such. I might be a hypocrite as my parts are mixed and matched but if I knew 3 years ago what I know now I wouldve done things differently.

If you don't mind me asking, why would you have done things differently and why would you not go with the 35R? I agree, I have heard great things about both companies as well.

As far as I know, HKS still does not have the camshafts for Evo IX (which uses MIVEC system)

Your choices are GSC, Cosworth and maybe Buddy Club (not sure if BC cams for Evo 9 are out yet either)

dump the HKS exhaust.. it rubs the driveshaft unless you want to hammer in the resonator.. oh yea and it tapers at the catback, and it's got resonators. You have better options even if you want a jdm style exhaust.

I would recommend the Buschur GT 35R. It will help you easily achieve your goals and still spools well for street driving. I would suggest sticking with their exhaust too and use a Tial BOV. You WILL get the power and reliability you are looking for from their parts.
