Congrats on the evo. Age does not determine how mature you are. Some older evo owners act like 10 year olds. What happened its been keyed already?

i do a lot of dirt road rallying (computer simulated of course since doing this in real life is illegal) and i have a lot of minor scratches etc from rocks... i didnt buy the evo for a show car, if i wanted a sexy *** car i would have bought a z06... i wanted a beast in the dirt, pavement and snow.

i guess what im trying to say is dont let a few scratches wreck your life man, **** happens and if your rough on her (like i think you should be ONCE BROKEN IN) she will get dings scratches etc...

^^^ well thats just peachy, but unfortunately that has absolutely nothing to do with breaking in your motor.

Letting your car sit for a couple minutes does however let your turbo cool down so thats good.. keep that up. But like I said, letting your car run does nothing for breaking in your new 4g63. If you want to properly break in your motor do the following for 500-1000 miles...

-no racing and/or hard driving
-don't drive at a constant RPM for very long (no freeway driving)
-stay out of the boost; no WOT
-change your oil at the end of the break-in period (after 500-1000 mi.)

enjoy the evo its an awesome thing.

and whoever said 300HP in an AWD car is not enough to get in trouble, thats not a realistic statement. people can get into trouble regardless of age or power figure of said car.

Poor Car, you probably drove it WOT so many times, and then suddenly turned it off. Not letting the Turbo Cool down.

It was pretty freaking obvious he was replying to the comment about letting the turbo cool down, which some may argue isn't even necessary. Sometimes I'm not sure I even wanna be a part of this community. elitist ******
