I purchased my 2003 apex silver evo 8 last monday. noticably it had mods to it. it has an injen intake, megan tubular exhaust manifold, boost controller, bigger intercooler looks like ebay special. It had a clear cam gear cover and the cam gears appear to be adjustable, and noticably had cams(not sure what kind) they do sound like the 272's. the exhaust is stock except fot the manifold..anyways i got it dynoed today and it hit 350.3hp at 20lbs of boost. this was a surprise me and my friends didnt think it would be that high having the stock exhaust. so i was wondering does this sound right with the mods i listed?? do you think the car has anyrthing else in it?

 

dyno sheet? What kinda dyno? are you sure the whole exhaust is stock and not just the muffle or catback??

 

Doesn't sound right, even IF it was performed on a dynojet. If the the turbo was stock (9.8 hotside), it makes me even more of a non-believer.

stock 03 turbos with bolt ons and 272 cams should make about 300whp on pump gas
i so either thats an engine dyno or you have a much larger turbo

 

i possibly think with a good tune and some 272 cams in my car plus my mods in my sig would hit that. But with yours NO!....if it was that easy i think i would have about 400+ HPs.

 

wow that sounds too good to be true. thats very high hp for the mods and the amt of boost you were running

 

how the hell can you tell what cams it has by hearing it? If your running 350 whp on 20 psi...... well your just not telling the truth. strike 1 you have 2 more.

why would i lie? im telling u i just got this car a week ago and i wanted to see what kind of power it had. the exhaust is stock it has a cat on it and everything i dont know exactly what is in it because i got it from a dealer call me a liar all day. the dyno was done by a dyno dynamic dyno. it was done at theshop in norwalk, ct. TheShopCt.com

look at the dyno sheet....the shop is legit go on the website..hey dont care what u guys think i dont know 100% exactly what is in the car i just got it from a dealer. call me a liar whatever makes u happy delete this thread no skin off my back look at the dyno sheet. i just took the picture with my phone and put it on here toshow u guys oh well

 

If you don't care what we think, then why are you posting it. Anyway, you need to figure out what mods you ACTUALLY have.

i was directing that twords the posts calling me a liar and saying i had no proof. just thought i would share this with you guys seeing as how im new here and just got the car.

 

Well looking at the sheet it looks like a bigger turbo cause its not hitting till over 4000 rpm.
go look at the turbo! What do you see. take a pic!
