ok so i sold my stock hood on here and i need to ship it. the box is to big for regular ground shipping and my quote from dhl was 500 dollars to ship.lol i need someone to help me out and tell me what they did when they shipped there hood to someone. im using the box my cf hood came in so i dont see what the problem is. someone please help me out here-thanks travis

crazzy...i would suggest you guys meet somewhere, but im guessing its not probable considering you're trying to ship it.
get quotes from ups and fedex maybe?

Well thats getting into the large parcel or freight shipping.

I'm sure there are local companies that specialize in freight shipping. I'm not an expert just thought i'd get a listing of some of the top 10.

UPS probably won't ship it because the box will be too big. I went to Fedex today to ship the hood i sold and they would ship it but their computers were down today and they couldn't ship it ground. And their next method of shipping was another $50 so i said f*ck it and ill bring it back tomorrow and ship it. But yeah go to fedex and try it, it shouldn't be anymore then like $150 to ship it.

You can also try shipping via Greyhound bus (seriously). Check out www.shipgreyhound.com. I shipped a body kit once - it was very cheap, but with a hood I'd be concerned about dents etc. as you literally ship it in the cargo hold of a Greyhound bus. If the hood is well packed it shouldn't be a problem though. Good luck!

 

Greyhound is a solid idea but I would also check out Bax Global.

I have used them for several years with very little problems on some fairly large items (i.e. a 16'6" long by 8" diameter tube that weighed about 50lb.). Prices are much better than what you were quoted.

if you try UPS, dont go to them directly, go to one of those little stores that works with UPS....usually shipping is cheaper that way
