I hear Buschur makes an obnoxious exhaust for the Evo. Maybe they've got one similar for the U.S. Lancer. I'd contend that most exhaust where the muffler is only slightly bigger than the tip, you're gonna have a loud-*** bark.

Add more periods to it.

I would definitely not qualify the sounds on Buschur's systems as "obnoxious" but they are quite loud. Search for parts reviews. There are at least 3 that I'm aware of.

Meant nothing by Hobie, just being a little obnoxious myself.

ouch time for a new exhaust..... 4.5 is a little overkill, get an intake and a little small muffler and you should be happy. I generally don't like APC, maybe thats cause they had almost half of their products recalled....

The GReddy Evo exhaust has a 4.5" tip. Mine's 4" and it actually looks quite good. Granted it's rather large though. Tip size has precisely dick to do with how your exhaust performs though and next to nothing to do with how it sounds...unless of course your tip is welded shut or significantly smaller than the rest of your exhaust.

GReddy is catback, yours is catback, this guys is a muffler (hence the APC brand). The size of the muffler does have alot to do with sound. My friend and I have 2 different mufflers and our cars make 2 completly different sounds. Mine is a deeper sound that resonates nicely in the high rpm range, his is a bit higher pitched and does'nt get much louder as he goes thru his rpms.

I believe that the addition of a bit small muffler, even 3.5 or 4 would help a bit and an intake would help even out the all around sound.

A nice open intake is a HUGE factor in the overall sound of the beast.

Yes, intake breathing mods will change your exhaust sounds as well.

Yes, the muffler has a lot to do with it, but I was talking about the TIP size because that's what you had commented on before.
