Hello all , new here . What should I get ?

Hey there. I am new and have recently taken an interest in the EVO's but am not sure if I should go through with it. I currently have a 2004 A4 3.0 ultrasport with coilovers and 19s. I like it a bunch but the EVO is starting to look good to me .

Maybe you guys can help me out by filling me in on the warranty terms they include from new and what's a better model dollard for dollar 2003 to 2005 ?
Also what kind of fuel economy should I expect ?

Thanks and happy motoring - I am off to go post in the marketplace forums lol

Either year is fine IMO. Just get the one that looks less abused, less mods, and the less miles.

Fuel economy really depends on what your driving style and commute is like. I usually get around 18mpg, basically all city.

Go drive one and see if it's for you, they're not for everyone...

I agree depends on how you drive your car. If you stay off boost.. I think the fuel economy is decent 19/26 or better

if you have to chose from a 2003, 2004 or a 2005, go with the 05. I agree with grillpt and evolness on the fuel mileage, it really depends on your driving habit, but around 18-19 city and 25-26 highway.

also realize that these cars cost more money to maintain than the average car.

I'm kinda in the same position. The current car I have is about maxed out as far as what I want to do to it. It's nice, but eh. It's good to see the gas mileage isn't that much worse than my civic and I've test driven an VIII and a IX and loved them both.

Is there anything I should look for specifically when buying a used evo? What are the expensive maintenance costs associated with?
