Mine's about 8500 miles and I'm also fighting the mod bug... and yes, I'm also surprised at how good the stock tires are holding up in terms of wear. Both tires look practically new.

You'll gain from a Tune with better A/F ratio, Timing and of course more Boost. Stock, you'll see maybe 17psi, add a MBC and just a Tune at 21-22psi and you can have zero knock, better gas milage and your still basically stock.
This was the first mod I did at 18K and made a big difference, no exhaust, no filter, no Fuel Pump, just a MBC and a Tune. I went from maybe 18-19mpg average, up to 22-23mpg with just the Tune and MBC.

I daily drive my Evo and the stockers lasted around 7-8k. I'll admit I was a little rough in my morning and afternoon route. lol My current set (Pirelli PZero Neros) has about 5k on them, and already am seeing some front shoulder wear. I believe my problem is I don't rotate them frequently enough.

I'm basically stock still. Mods are in my sig, which aren't really mods. 67K miles right now with stock clutch. Original tires lasted 16K, second set lasted until 42K, and I'm on my third set now which will probably make it until next fall. I have a winter set as well though.

I get the itch to try a few mods. If I do anything it would maybe be an exhaust and a tune, but I probably won't worry about it until I'm out of warranty (go ahead and joke about the warranty being worthless, I really don't care). I got the 10yr 100K mile warranty and Mitsubishi has been great with me so far so I'll keep going with it.

I don't know how you guys fight the urge for more power. I started with a catback at around 4k miles, now I have 22k miles and I'm over 500whp.
