14,500 miles and still STOCK

Stock People
I plan to stay stock but I fight the itch to mod every day.
Anyone else?

I'm still stock. ~21k miles with only a K&N panel filter. I'll be honest, that filter does very little performance wise.

My plan was, instead of doing little mods here and there, I will do everything all at once for my goal of 330 WHP. I'm young so for me to buy an Evo AND mod it is hard to do. Almost saved enough up to start the modding.

I was close with my old Evo, it had around 13k before I ended up getting a new one. I'm pretty sure I can do that with my current Evo too.

I'm with you on that. 65k and still stock, except for BOC and Clutch, which came with the car when i bought it. I'll do my mods all at once.

Still stock except for the K&N drop in filter. Yeah it does nothing for performance, but the car does feel a little bit smoother. Oh yeah and a turbo timer but those are nothing. The temptation for modding is ever present though, very frustrating indeed.

The evo is too slow stock. Especially since I have an O3 so at first I was modding to catch up, now im modding to do better at the track.

Do you still have stock tires? Hehe. I was wondering whats the longest miles that anyone have made the stock advan's last. I have around 7k on my car now and the tires are still great b/c I don't drive that hard. Its my DD. Plus, I dont want to keep buying new tires. $$$$

I wouldn't stay on that stock map, get at least a good tune. Stock maps have knock all over the place, especially on 91oct.

Did you gain anything with a tune on stock?
