boost not holding for 1st and 2nd gear

boost not holding for 1st and 2nd gear

I have a mbc and I set it for 18.5 psi.....however only 3rd through 5th gear will hit and hold at 1.3 bars...1st and 2nd hold at 15 psi.

Is there something wrong??? Appreciate the help

i think theres something to do with the load or something, but i could be wrong

Correct. You will not build enough load to get full boost in first and second gear.

It's OK to set your peak boost in 3rd, however I always double check by doing a WOT run in top gear as well. Just to make sure it ain't creeping..especially when the weather cools off. Besides, WOT runs in top gear are ever so much more fun to do.

Why so low? A stock Evo boosts higher than that
