boost spike in higher gears

1st,2nd and 3rd gear the boost holds fine but in 4th and 5th the boost spikes pretty bad. Does it have anything to do with my EBC?...never had this problem before.

Thanks!

What turbo & what WGA. When you say spike, are you meaning creep?

what kind of EBC do you have? have you tried an MBC at all?

are you are the WG doesn't have any restrictions which would cause the exhaust to not be able to evacuate fast enough.

also, take the EBC out of the situation and run on spring alone, rule out one thing at a time

Its normal to see higher boost in higher gears due to higher load.

Yes, with an mbc; but with his EBC, I'd expect that to be controlled.

It's prolly your EBC. Reset boost doing 4th gear pulls, then see if it is still where you want it in lower gears. I know I had this problem when I started using my GM BCS w/ stock ECU.
