gauge mounting locations/holes

Hey guys, ive been doing a lot of research on which gauges I want, but I'm unsure of where to mount them, and how hard it is to mount them in certain places. I understand that during the install, theres a hole in the firewall for the lines, but after that, the write ups seem to be a bit nebulous as to where to go from there. Ideally id like to mount gauges above the center console with a rexpeed pod, but wouldnt that require drilling a hole through the top there? Also I'm interested in mounting on the steering wheel and a-pillar, so i guess what id like from you guys are explanations/write ups detailing how to mount the gauges in specific locations, like where to guide the wires, what holes I need to drill and where, etc. Thanks!

if you plan on buying the rexpeed gauge pod there is no need to drill in the dash. there is a square grommet in between the front window vents that is easy removed. you will have to drill a small hole in the back of the gauge pod.

as for the individual installation of the gauges, let us know what brand you are getting and we'll help you out

here is a pic of how i did mine

I have the same one, installed the same way. No cutting, no drilling and looks great.

did u guys use double sided tape to sit it on the dash?
i feel like it would leave a nice dent and fade in the dash if left there long enough.

i cleaned the area with rubbing alcohol and used the double sided tape that came with it to secure it to the dash. i am not worried about leaving a "dent" in the dash (not enough pressure). if there is any fading it will be minumal.

with my civic i had a scooby doo bobble toy and stuck it on the dash for a month
it left a circle for the rest of the life of the car
