hey guys.....i recently bought my 06 MR....and im lovin it....but i will be starting to mod it rather soon and its going to be pretty heavy, basically my goal for the Evo is to be one of the fastest in FL.....i already know what mods im going to buy, but i dont know where to get it tuned at.......theres only really one good place around me (I'm in tampa) and that is Titan Motorsports in Orlando.....im sure you've heard of them, they do massively huge things with Supras on the drag scene......but i was wondering if any of you guys know anywhere else i could go to get tuned? im not finding too much down here in FL......any and all help is appreciated

 

well im not a florida native, but i would search first. Also florida has some very sick evo's, so before pulling the triger on parts and go fast bits, search, search, and search some more. The last thing u want to is spend $ on crappy parts!

 

well i wont be just buying parts without researching them....ive been doing a good amount of reading and searching on all the different turbo kits, exhausts, and just about everything else to mod the Evo......i just cant really find a reputable shop in my area other than Titan over in orlando to get it tuned at......not like it really matters because orlando is only an hour away......but if theres somewhere in the tampa area then thats great too

Have AMS make a trip out there to tune you

 

Yes a lot of tuner will travel. All very reputable.

 

i would love to have AMS tune the MR for me, how open do you think theyd be to something like that?

ive done a lot of reading about mellon and AMS and such.....and im more interested in AMS due to the fact they have made countless Evo's that are high HP applications.....how would someone even try and approach them to travel and do a tune on my MR?

Just keep your eyes on the boards here....the tuners will usually start a post that says "anyone needing a tune in the XXXXX area?" Jump on that, b/c dyno rates are usually decreased for groups..

 

My best friend who used to live in FL and was sponsored by Titan swears by their work, and Ive seen one or two evos out of that shop and they were pretty insane! So atleast you wont be in bad hands if you cannot find anyone else
