how to know if you're cammed?

I bought a used 03 evo with 37k on the ODO
so far I found
RMR intake
forge dv (which is TOO LOUD!)
exhaust system which I can barely here and don't know the brand.

The car vibrates a tiny bit at idle and the idle is right under 1000 rpm. it there any way to know if it's cam'd easily?

listen to the idle, or take off the cam gear cover and see if you have cam gears. most evo8s would also have cam gears

thanks.
i wouldnt thinking take the valve cover would help cuz I wouldn't be able to compare lobes.

in the honda world some of the cams had stamps on the end and a cam seal could be removed.

well In Mitsubishi world we have hollow stock cams shafts that have holes in them.. So if you take the valve cover off you will be able to tell..

Pull the value cover off and look for aftermarket cam gears. Most ppls. switch when installing cams.

Forge DV too loud, wow that is interesting I dont think I have every heard one that is too loud.

Something is wrong if you are idling around 1k.

does your idle sound like a v8 idling?

if you happen to have a pic I would greatly appreciate that!

the car does not sound like a v8, but i've seen mild honda cams barely do anything to the sound and idle.
my built honda sounds like a diesal motor however lol

good luck getting that warranty honored if something goes wrong, they tear down your motor and find aftermarket cams.

My car idles at 900-1000 rpm, and sounds a little lopey. Pretty sure its stock though. Evos have a pretty high duration cam from the factory don't they? I sure hope I don't have cams, I REALLY need to learn how to drive if I do. You could take it to the track and see what you trap at.
