no traction issues from a roll though...especially highway rolls. Also high end supras with over 1000whp usually have all of the suspension done to them also...i wouldnt be surprised if they hit 180-200mph easily

i think the record for the evo is 1019whp
I disagree, Dyno numbers dont tell the whole story. It's also got a few hundred pounds of additional weight and at that horsepower level AWD will provide additional traction even from a roll. I would probably bet on a 1000whp Evo to beat a 1200-1300whp Supra from both a stop and a roll.

Wicked Supra having traction problems in 4th, getting up to 220+ at the Texas Mile.

Norris Evo with ~800whp entered the 200mph club, can't find the video I was looking for (inside) but the car was not having traction problems.. it just GOES! FAST!

at the track i leave on them hard all the time then they come back harder but really the traction is not that bad in them they hook well. think of how wide of a tire you can put on a supra 295 is nothing they are just geared way to well after 100mph on a highway they just shine

Let's see what the AMS Standing Mile car does!!! Then we'll have our answer since the Supra above is probably the king of the Supras, AMS just needs to beat it and we'll have our answer.

Taking out the Supra is easy. Just make sure the road has some good twisties in it and he will find himslef in the woods.

A turbo 03 cobra could help your case. Even a turbo as big as a 76mm can reach full boost at 4k rpms or a little less with a 4.6L, even faster with a 5.0 stroker.

Evo better have a built motor and something bigger than a GT37R to even think about it. Not sure why you guys are discussing top speeds and such, nobody is gonna race to 180-190 on the highway...

That's like asking what it takes to get a Jeep Wrangler to hang with an Evo at a road course... Wrong venue. But yeah, basically lots and lots of money, otherwise just let yourself get whomped. Roll down your rear windows, look at the 3 comfortably sat hot girls in your back seat, remember your car was built in the 21st century and you probably paid less for it than the guy did for his that was built in the 20th, and remember that you probably have at least 3/4 the mileage he has on his, if not 1/4. Then go to a road course and race and totally ignore the little blobs as they get smaller and smaller in your mirrors.

Really? I've seen ppl do far more reckless and deadly things. Especially if you are talking about a nice long straight stretch of road in the middle of bumf**k Egypt.

Change title

for starters, i would get rid of the 1995 suzuki sidekick you're driving
Or did you mean, "How much, to make a Suzuki Sidekick, smoke a Supra?"

Obviously you haven't seen the thread on the 140 mph Anti-Tree, Teenager M5 Missile!

No worries if you can't beat a Supra in a straight, you will spank them in the canyons

HP hsa nothing to do with speed.... its power to weight ratio that does.
