Alright, thanks all for the advice. Guess I will leave the highway runs to the Supra's and the vette's. Thinking about picking up a Supra either sometime in or after college, that way I will have the best of both world's

What's up guys? My name is Mike Reichen and from what I have been reading on here it appears that not many of you have heard of me or my car for some reason.
I drive an evo 2 and it is currently the third quickest evo in the united states(8.96 @158) and it is the fastest evo in the world (215.9 mph in the standing mile).
Anyway lets get back on target, I personally would not have a problem racing and beating all but a few of the supras out there on the highway(there may be between 5-10 that could possibly beat me from a roll)(very doubt full). You may think supras hook from a roll but the really fast ones don't. Now if you are talking maximum velocity yes the supras would come by like a frieght train on the very top end.

Step back to my car for a minute, I have been a fan of land speed racing for a longtime (it stems from all that highway racing back in the day) and yes years ago AMS did sponsor my tallon for drag racing. At that
time I used to tell them that I was going to go mile racing and land speed racing and they would laugh at me and say I was crazy and why would I want to do that but now that I have been doing so well at it they are going to come out and try to steal my little bit of glory!
Well I appreciate the challenge and I quess I should be proud that they find my little low buget car as some sort of threat to they're shops manhood! And to finish off I hope they bring enough to the party because I know DEVO TUNING and I will!!!!!
This should be funnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!
P.S.- Oh by the way I have had plans underway all winter for my Bonneville trip this year.

^ hehehe, I think if anybody, in terms of one shop/man/tuner has a chance at staying ahead of AMS i would give it to you.....for now.

I don't know how deep your pockets are but I think this might be harder than you think!!! Props for doing something different and doing it well.

A lot of money, my friend on his old setup, built 2.4 and 35r tuned on AEM was tearing a lot of cars up on the highway cars with well over 550-600whp. He was probably making close to 650whp.

You've seen people do more reckless things than go 190mph on a highway? Most cars can't even go that fast because of aerodynamics, gearing, power, etc. Whats the top speed on that Lancer ES??

What are you guys trying to race from a 60+ roll?

If so then that's stupid!...All these other cars with big power are only fast with HUGE Slicks or Highway rolls from high speeds...That's lame.

Evos are fast everywhere no matter what....stop, low speed rolls, high speed you name it.

You get me a 500whp v.s a 600whp Supra from a stop at the street the Evo wins...From a low speed roll Evo wins( By the time the Supra starts catching up the race is over...

I never understood why people Including myself back in the day liked roll racing...It's gay sorry.

I don't think "Roll racing" is ever even fair, because either guy could get a huge jump over the other, but from a dead stop, it's alot more even.

youd have to reach 18 years old first

That really depends on what kind of tire the Supra has actually. The Supra can launch pretty well with drag radials. It's just that most Supras running around on the street have regular street radials so traction is limited. Supras can be setup to do just about anything and do it well.

about 125 but its a brick aerodynamicly. Oh and my gearing holds me back too. i didnt mean going faster. just more reckless with a lot more traffic.
