No, wait at least a few years. I started out with a 110 hp 87 Galant (great car by the way). I got my first and only muscle car when I was 18 and a half. I still have it now because I was able to prove to everybody and my dad especially that I could be responsible with it. Same deal with when you get an Evo. If you know you can be responsible with it, then allow yourself to go out and look for one to own.

If you are responsible, rich, and have someone to teach you how to drive properly go for it.

There are plenty of 30-40 year old people on the road that don't know how to drive the standard class sedans.

Keep your head on your shoulders and don't be over confident and request to have your allowance increased to pay for all the maintenance. just teasing but being honest.

DO NOT GET AN EVO AS UR FIRST CAR!!!!!! and thats coming from a 17 year old kid with one. trust me i have been driving sence i was 14 and now that i'm 17 and in those 3 years i've been slowly moving up. i started with a 86hp Citroen. then my dad gave me his 1986 Mercedes turbodiesel and last year i was allowed to drive my sisters Scion Tc cuz she was in collage. so the trick is to slowly move up in power and get a slow car that u don't mind F**king up and then when ur ready get an evo.

but i also have been driving since 14, i turn 17 in june. starting with my dads toyota sienna(minivan) then a 2000 camry, and now my moms lexus es350.... so i dnt c y its not appropriate for me to own a lancer...even though i only drove under there supervision, i havent ever got in any accidents...

NO! If you have to ask other people a question that your life could depend on then you are definately not ready.

well i think someone else said it and i think its a very GREAT idea cause its what i did.

Find a 1g awd since it still has reasonable power and the awd setup play with it, have fun for a year or 2 get use to that type of car then find a evo.
