Should a 03 evo be my FIRTS CAR
On second thought, I agree with Jeeperjunior. Get the car and enjoy it. If you have the money, why not, but expect to have a lot of maintenance issues. When I was 16 I tortured my dads Malibu. So just expect things to break. All in all, I say get the car. I guarantee you that you won't regret the purchase, you parents might, but you won't.

No, teens do not know how to drive and are not responsible enough.
This was a teenager driving a 199x 240sx and he was clearly too immature for a car also. Sad ending.

I see what you saying, if your drag racing in a parking lot, someone is bound to get hurt. Apologies to the teens' family and with all respect but their just a small statistic . Teens in general are good drivers, but when they get complacent, people get hurt. You can get hurt in a Pinto. I understand that the cars there driving is a big variable but doesn't mean that someone is going to die just because a teen is driving an Evo.

No, an Evo should not be your first car. Buy a DSM, learn it, break it, fit it, mod it. After you accomplish that and learn how to drive and do things the "right way" then buy an Evo.

i would say no.. go for a dsm first.. similar car.. but not quite the power.. they also respond to mods very well.. i had a n.t eclipse first, then fwd turbo eclipse, then awd talon, now getting an evo.. i moved up gradually and was a good idea. get the experience needed and know when and when not to hit on your car or not.

no i do not think you should get an evo as a first car
dude it sounds like you have never drove anything even close to an evo, do like the other people have been saying work your way up to it get more of a resonably fast car then step up to an evo.
Drive a slower car so you can learn what it's like to drive everyday by yourself without your parents and then after a few years when you think you can pay for the car yourself, then you should buy one. Otherwise, don't be the loser that has a car he doesn't deserve.
By the way nobody likes those girls in high school with the sports cars. You don't want the kids at your high school to think you're an spoiled brat like those girls do you?
Smartest thing to do is to save your parents money, buy a slower car, concentrate at school and go to college. You do well in college and get a good job, then you can buy a Ferrari. You waste your time now trying to pay off an Evo and you'll regret your decision later on in life when you could have used your time better.

1. You want to be a cardiologist, yet you exhibit 4th grade level literacy.
