Ok this might be a really stupid thread but one of my friends has a cobalt lt and i was just wondering what I can do to my car so i can beat him in a race. We go to a track by us once and a while and I always lose. I have a RRM SRI and a catback exhaust. He has a CAI and catback exhaust. His car has 145 hp stock.

Know beyond the obvious turbo i was just wondering if headers, intake mani, piggyback and all that stuff would get me close to winning assuming he dosent do the same to his car. I know there all good mods but will i see that 20 hp diff with them all and the pully. Just wondering if any one has some ideas. Thanks

Save for turbo(I know thats not what you wanted to hear). But NA mods have been proven pointless on the US Lancer. I think with full bolt ons you still wont win.

4 easy step's to beating your friend.


1. Go on ebay.
2. Purchase a nitrous kit for 300$
3. Install kit
4. go to the track and spray a 50 shot. shouldnt be bad on your block.

thanks mk3 yea iv read that post b4 lol but its hard to believe that post 89 hp or w.e with all those mods ain't believable to me. I love my car know it feels like it accelerates threw turns better them most car my friends have (rsx type s, cobalt, 08 rabbit, Mazda 3, Monte,) im really good at cornering but if it feels good then there has to be something i can do for more power in straight away.

and i don't want to do nas i here to many bad story's thanks tho...
