You've been here since November of 2006 and have roughly 300 posts. I cannot for the life of me understand how you got through 1.5 years of usage out of an Evo and not know that the FP Green turbo will bolt right up. I've seen worse things in my life so I'll forgive you for that...

The green turbo seems to work really well with the VIII because they already came with the smaller turbo than the IX did. There are a few members on here with exactly the same set-up you are inquiring about and most of them are putting down the numbers you're seeking.

About getting the bigger injectors with the green, I would strongly suggest you upgrade from the stockers when using the green for the simple fact that your IDC's may be reaching peak point.

It is imperative that you tune for all your mods to take advantage of every little power increase you can. I'm surprised you haven't tuned even for the mods you have now. I cannot begin to think how sluggish your car must be as it sits now without a tune.

Let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be glad to help you...
ok.... what section is this thread in?

anyways. I know the green bolts right on as I mentioned. I just wasn't sure if running stock 20 psi on a green would be safe with only a couple mods.

Yes my car is a sluggish POS right now I am aware. Let me reach into my pocket and grab 500 bucks for a tune . IDC if the car is slow right now, tracks closed... I just want the mods on so doing it all at once isn't a massive project. I don't buy things I don't know how to install. It's a mitsubishi not a ferrari.. let me learn and if it means hurting the car because I did something wrong.. so be it. trial and error. im 21, I don't know everything. I'm no newb, but I'm not a fan boy that sits here on my a$$ talking about cars all day either, I'd rather be out doing it.

Wow, are you an angry and/or easily irritable 21 year old?? I was merely helping you out... I never mentioned ANYTHING about it being a Mitsu vs. a Ferrari. Not sure what that statement has to do with anything...

FYI, a tune does not cost 500 dollars with the abundance of people that know and use ECUFlash and logging programs.

I just don't know what it is I said that got you so hell-bent out of shape today. Good luck getting the information you seek from someone else...

Also, the reason I told you the green bolts up is because of this statement, which I believe has a question mark?? You asked the question and I answered it. I don't see you mention anything about being SURE it bolts up...

The number of posts does NOT correspond with how much you know. That is just foolish talk. But it DOES show that you know how to navigate and peruse the site for information. Don't put words in my mouth...

Rhetorical question... kind of hard to tell if it's a serious question or a rhetorical question on the internet.

You are welcome for the "reasonable parts" of my post. Anything else you'd like to know, just ask away.

you guys with 330 whp or even fpgreen guys... you guys still on stock clutch?

my clutch has almost 40k on it now... and I'll be running my car A LOT this year.. soooo yeaaa

I don't want to litter the site with a bunch of diff threads so I figure while this ones already here, I'll just get all my questions asked haha

I found people using stock clutch but theres no indication on how long its lasted them and I'm not sure they hit the track as much as I do.... I havn't gone to the track with the evo yet because it's off season and last year.. uhhh i dont wanna talk about it

The stock clutch is bound to start slipping at some point along those numbers. It's all dependent on how you drive the car. If you're doing 6K clutch dumps at every traffic light then it's not going to last you long. If you're driving like Grandma on a Sunday morning then of course it will last longer. My advice would be to upgrade it and be done with it.

I have all bolt-ons on my IX as it sits and I decided to go ahead and put in an Exedy twin disk for better peace of mind.

You may be able to get away with the stocker for a short time. Again, it all depends on how you drive.

can't say i am. Put it this way. I hard launch it about 3x a month, which is a lot, but i usually don't beat on her otherwise. She is my daily driver too, but I know a new clutch will be in the works soon enough.....and i am sure it won't be cheap.

i've never launched the car and I don't really plan on anything less then a 2.0 60' while im on stock clutch. I guess what I'm more concerned about is the tourque numbers something like an fpgreen can produce.
