Maybe we can hit up some meets or whatever in the future. Feel free to PM me.. also, if you've never tried autox, it's an extremely fun sport, and it really helps you learn a lot about how your car will react. There's a rookie school on March 29th which basically teaches you everything you need to know about autox and good driving habits, and then there's an event the next day.
Welcome to Evom! There's a lot of Evos around Houston, but there only seem to be 3 regulars at the autox's. I drive the black Evo IX, a guy name Mike drives the silver MR and Russell drives the white Evo VIII. I just started autocrossing last month, and yesterday was my second time, but if you ever want to ride along with me at an event, I'd love to have you. I will be at the rookie school on the 29th and I think Mike will be there too (he drives the silver MR at the autox's). Here's a link to my first auto x experience:

I hope to see you out there! SCCA is a great place to meet some really cool people and learn about the limits of your car before you modify it.

The rookie school on March 29th will be perfect for you, but it's $75 plus $15 if you're not an SCCA member. It is totally worth it, but if you don't want to shell out the cash, just sign up for the event the next day. Here's the link:

Look around the Houston Regional site, especially the tab on the left called "getting started."
When you get back in the country, give me a call and I'll help you get signed up and figure out classing and such. I'll Personal Message you with my number (look for it right below your avatar on the home page).
It'll be a blast! Talk to you soon.

Alright, man sounds good. Get yourself signed up for an auto x event! You should bring your crx, and you can just ride along with me when you're not running to see what the evo is like.

I'm still trying to convince my friend to go...he has a GG Evo 9 MR. He's real busy with school right now, but I'll see if I can persuade him to go to the next event, to at least watch.

I'd go and I don't even have an Evo!
