When I was first driving, gas was $1.00 a gallon! Yeah, I know....I am alot older than some (most!) of you. But, owning an Evo, you don't want to put crap gas in it. Only the higher octane! So, gas mileage, gas prices are almost a give away. If this is a major priority, then X_Evo is right! It might be time to buy a boring but frugal Toyota!!

 

I remember those days... I wasn't driving yet, but I do remember those low prices. And if you watch Die Hard, you'll notice that even the gas station in the background (and keep in mind it is L.A.) has regular gas for $0.77/gallon.

But if I recall correctly, when I started driving (around 1999), gas had "spiked" to $1.30, and people were going crazy about it. Now it's almost triple that.
