all that happens when u install a fuel pump is you run rich. now if u get a tune with increased boost and proper timing you will feel a significant power gain. a fuel pump is one of the first mods you should do so just do it

A fuel pump is not a "hp mod", and without tuning you will run rich up top. What mods does your car have? You most likely will not need a fuel pump until you install cams or upgrade your turbo. The Evo IX's have a stronger fuel pump than the VIII's.

No HP whatsoever. Not 100% needed even with some supporting mods but its a good safeguard if you get one and get tuned.

runnin rich is when you have to much fuel coming in and a lack of air. the car will run poorly and foul ur spark plugs. Upgrading the pump causes there to be more pressure in ur fuel system which increases how much fuel is coming out of ur injectors without a proper tune. A tune will adjust ur fuel maps and will once again gain u your proper air/fuel ratio
