i am a new evo owner and have done alot of research on the evo so far but i couldnt find any help for this question, does anybody have a short shifter that has created problems for them?? i heard one person say something about the linkage getting messed up but i want to make sure because i want to buy the perrin shortshift kit,but not if it effs something up, thank you!

 

x2 i just bought the authority shifter, 4WS says theres no problem with the short shifter, but MGW, and KAW racing down here in S.FL say its bad for the tranny

 

I have heard mixed opinions ever. I have one in my GSX, and it pulls great and no problems for 25k. But its far from an evo.

 

i've had the perrin short shifter for about two years now and haven't had any problems. i love it.

 

Kartboy short shifter kit is also a good one. I would highly recommend it.

 

how much did you pay for your perrin ss?

 

anyone been using one for a long time on your evo without problems?

At the risk of stating the obvious, do you really need a short shifter? The throws aren't long as it is.
