reflash question.

Hey guy, i just have a question. I am looking at a blk mr se, 14k miles, it only has 3in full turbo exhaust and a reflash. how does this affect the car? I know the exhaust gives it a bit more power, but what about the reflash?

reflash (if done by a reputable tuner) can only HELP your car run better and more powerful. Find out who it was tuned by.. And if it was dynoed or just reflashed

Yes it's a warranty voider, but as mentioned it's difficult to detect and they won't find it unless they run diagnostics on the ECU or something.

Also it can easily be logged to find out if the tune is any good or not. Or it could be flashed back to stock with ECU Flash (free). You'll need a tactrix cable (~$85.00) to connect to the car and a logging application to check knock counts (mitsulogger-free or evoscan-~$25.00). Read the stickies in the ECU Flash forum for more information.

The flash or tune making adjustments inside the ECU to optimise the fuel, timing and boost levels to allow the car to gain Hp. If done porperly on a stock car tuning will increse fuel economy, these cars run really rich from the factory and dont need to, that is why tuners will decrese the amount of fuel going into the engine. Good luck
