Which cams?

Ive seen mixed reviews on diff cams so i figured id post my mod list and see what you guys recommend? (currently pump gas 93)Upgrading springs/retainers isnt a factor either. Just trying to get all this installed by this weekend so i can tune and dyno by next week.I would like to hit the track by wednesday.

AMS TBE, AMS IC, AMS LICP, AMS UICP, Cobb intake, Invidia O2 housing, Megan exhaust manifold, Turbosmart DP BOV, Hallman Pro MBC

cosworths? gsc 2s?

when choosing ur cams i would defiantly do 272 for the best results with ur mods, if your not upgrading ur valve springs ect the hks 272's are mild and dont require valve train upgrade. If you want a good DD 264/272 is a nice setup. If you wanna lay some power and its a track car i would proble go with the JUN cams 272 or 280's if you really wanted to, 264/264 would upgrade ur power and will feel almost like stock. any bigger set of cams you decide to put in it will make the car sound pretty sick at 5k rpms +

yeah you probably can't go wrong with either. I was set on cossis but with all the excellent results on the gsc s2s, with stock like driveability on the IXs and stock ECU, i am pretty much set on getting the S2s.

I have the M2 cossies and had an increase of 28hp at 6800 and 15/15 increase throughout and this is at 21psi on 91 octane...

I made a thread about the whole install with dyno graphs..... search for it!

This guy has the evo ix, not evo 8. there is no 264 hks cams for evo ix.

264/272 combo is not popular anymore, I just installed pair of HKS 272 and car idle nearly like stock, I don't know why people say they are not good for DD.

Gsc S1 would be your good choice if you don't planning on upgrade valvetrain.

The difference between cosworth and gsc 2 are the cosworth cams make better mid to more high end power, the gsc 2 make sick low mid range tq.Just depends on your goal,if you go with a gt 30 or 35r and up turbo go with the cosworth,if keep the stock turbo or upgrade to a fp green or 3065 then stick to the gsc cams.both have similar idle quality's.

thanks for all the input guys! looks like im going with the GSC 2s. and upgraded valvetrain. i am trying to get as much power out of the stock block/head/turbo as i can, then onto bigger turbo down the road!

thanks for the link o-town!
