HKS SSQV blow off valve?

I currently have a turbo xs 100% atmopspheric venting BOV and i and would like to upgrade to a better blow off valve with ricirculation. i read on the modding guide that going with the IX Diverter valve is best but i do not have the stock pipeing for it.

Would this be a bad idea? and do you have any reccomendations?

sounds great works like crap...its good on every other type of car, i have a forge diverter..flows more air then a IX and sounds sick too, either way you will need silicone piping to recirculate it so it really doesnt matter ...that is unless your upper pipe is flanged

would recommend a XI DV or a forge, if your gunna go VTA then get a tial

I currently have the redesigned HKS BOV, sounds great but it will bogg you down! I speak from experience, I took my car to the track the other day and my car kept bogging down. I recently bought the piece to recirculate my BOV.
If you do not care about that then by all means, it's nice!

Yeah the make a ricirc kit for the SSQV, apparently there is an evo specific one that is said to better on evos than the version 1. i deffinatly care about bogging down, i want a ricirc no matter what BOV i choose.

Is this the forge valve you speak of https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...products_id=57 ??

Remenber blowoff valve's are used for releasing pressure from the turbo housingso the don't get bearing failure the only time use are to upgrade to a bigger b.o.v is if your running more then 26to 27psi if not and you wan't one for the sound save your money and buy a jdm evo 9 valve or a tomei which they both hold 26to 27 max boost plus you can get away a little by crusing the valve if your running above that level,by doing it that way it's good for around 29psi max,in my opionin.

I honestly think stock 9 BOV does mighty fine job, if you keep it under 25 psi...

I highly recommend the OP look into a intercooler setup with a recircuilating BOV such as the ForgeRS.

This is the route I am going from Greddy Type-S VTA.

Recirc. BOV > VTA BOV IMO.

well i appreciate all the advice. i realized i also have to consider the size and shape of the BOV because right now its a TIGHT fit under my intake, but im thinking of moving the battery to the trunk and getting a new pipe.
