New guy coming from a DSM background.
Coming from the 1g/2g dsm world. Just recently put up my built 92 tsi awd for sale. Car went 12.30's @ 120 on a stock sloowwww shifting transmission and 205 all seasons on 20 lbs of boost. Figured the car was making around 400 whp. Instead of pushing it to 30 lbs and making 500 + and breaking something I decided to post her for sale and go for what I've always wanted, an Evo.
Basic mod list of the car.
Ross/Manley pistons/rods
BC 272 cams/ springs
FP 3065
DSMlink
850cc injectors
steel braided line
FMIC with home made piping
Tial bov and 3" gm maf
Little bit about myself
20 year old college student. I'm currently a commercial electrician for the summer until school starts. Going for a degree in Accounting/ Finance. I've had 8 dsm's. Ranging from stock to 400+ hp. I like to mod cars right, no cheap parts or hack jobs.
I'm looking to pick up an Evo Rs, in white, black, any color but yellow. That would be very nice. With my age however, insurance will kill me. Might have to wait until I'm 21 and the rates drop.

Video of the car on a slower run. 12.6 @ 117. The comments in the video about it being twin turbo kill me.
I know there can be some bad blood between the evo and 1g/2g guys, but I'm not here for that. Hopefully the evo platform will be fairly easy to pick up with my DSM background.

I've never heard of any bad blood either. I think you'll find many Evo enthusiasts are former DSM owners themselves.. Sort of a natural progression, or... pardon the pun, an.. evo- well you get the idea

very cool... I almost bought a sweet 1G DSM from a guy in NY, it was going for 4500, had 40k original miles, perfectly maintained, evo 3 big 16g, injectors, fmic etc... pretty much every mod I'd want to do with it. I was going to use it for Rallycross but it was too nice for that. Now I've found a 1G locally for cheap and wouldn't mind beating on this one but I'm trying to do the next rounds of mods on the EVO (heads/cam/shorty so I'm tapped out.
