is 54000 miles on an evo still good for mods?
im looking into an 03 evo and want to know if this mileage is too much to modify it. and also i know jap cars usually go for a long time but im just wondering how long will it last? i know it depends a little on the previous driver but im just wondering. im looking to get a fp green and a bunch of supporting mods but no camshafts ooro anthing like that. also will i have to upgrade the tranny? i drive very conservatively and usually only punch my car if someone wants to race which is often because i live in the woods. thanks
haha good cuz i wanna pt a green injectors fuel pump full exhaust intercooler and intake in there but need it for about 4 years as a daily ddriver. how for will my stock trainy go if i drive "Carefully"
59k on mine and i track it regularly. decent mods.
tranny's on an 03 suck but if it has that many miles than im guessing the syncro's have already been replaced. if so then u will be fine.

All I am saying is that many(hundreds or thousands) or DSM owners actually put mods on their high mileage 4G63 which happen to be even weaker than the Evo engines.. with that said I think 54000 miles on the Evo is not bad at all.

i just rolled 55k miles last night and have owned mine for two years and she's still running strong...only major problem was replacing the clutch at 15k miles but i was retarded and launched it hard.
